Abbott, a renowned company specializing in diagnostics, medical devices, nutrition, and pharmaceuticals, has committed to improving the lives of 3 billion people annually by 2030. To achieve this ambitious goal, their diverse global team has actively pursued initiatives to minimize errors, reduce inconsistencies, and optimize processes through a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Kristine Sanchez, an inspiring leader at Abbott, has personally embraced her role as an ally by drawing inspiration from her family’s experiences, including her son’s journey on the autism spectrum. Driven by her passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals, Sanchez has championed the partnership between Abbott and Aspiritech, recognizing the unique skills and capabilities that neurodiverse individuals bring to the table. This collaboration began in July 2021, with Aspiritech playing a crucial role in improving the accuracy of manual data transcriptions in Abbott’s package inserts. Furthermore, Aspiritech has identified additional opportunities to enhance efficiencies in source documentation and template development for these inserts.

Abbott’s leadership has wholeheartedly supported this partnership, leading to remarkable outcomes and the introduction of new verification tools for broader utilization. However, this collaboration goes beyond data services. It represents an initiative to cultivate a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization where every individual feels valued and empowered.

At Aspiritech, a remarkable 93% of our staff are neurodivergent, making us an ideal partner for organizations like Abbott seeking to meet their DEI initiatives while achieving their project goals. However, our contributions extend far beyond technical and data projects like QA, audio, and accessibility testing. We also provide organizations with comprehensive training on best practices for engaging and maximizing the potential of a neurodiverse workforce. Remember, every team is a neurodiverse team, and companies that embrace this fact unlock the full productivity, diverse perspectives, and enhanced employee engagement that come with it.

If you’re eager to learn more about our offerings or explore how Aspiritech can help your organization embrace each team member’s unique skills, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Let’s begin a journey of inclusion, productivity, and meaningful collaboration! In the meantime, we encourage you to delve into Abbott’s full 2022 DEI Initiative and discover how Kristine Sanchez is playing a pivotal role in creating a more inclusive and productive workplace.
