Stepping Up & Out creates a welcoming, low-pressure space for autistic adults to socialize, build friendships, and grow community. Since its launch in 2012, SUO has evolved into a hybrid program offering both in-person and virtual experiences shaped by participant feedback and led by autistic staff.
With a robust slate of events, including themed office parties, art shows, Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, game nights, and community outings, SUO has become a program that seeds lasting friendships and self-confidence.
The ACE Fund serves as a vital safety net for Aspiritech team members, offering financial assistance to employees facing unexpected challenges. ACE Fund grants are often pivotal to a recipient’s ability to maintain meaningful employment and lead a healthy, independent life.
Funded through the generosity of community members and foundation partners, the program’s mission is simple yet profound: to assist, change, and empower. It assists with short-term emergency expenses like medical bills, transportation, or housing; changes quality of life by supporting health, wellness, and independent living; and empowers staff through funding for continuing education and advocacy. All applications are reviewed anonymously by an independent committee, ensuring that support is distributed with fairness and dignity.
Aspiritech Academy provides training and employment preparation for autistic and neurodivergent adults, building both technical know-how and workplace readiness skills that open doors to sustainable careers in technology. Thanks to generous grants from Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation (MEAF) and HAAPE, Aspiritech has expanded its training curriculum to include not only quality assurance fundamentals but also growing areas like cybersecurity and other in-demand tech fields.
Participants gain a foundational understanding aligned with tech roles while also strengthening soft skills through virtual courses, guest speakers, and 1:1 coaching. Weekly team meetings and social discussions foster community and confidence, helping participants learn in a supportive, flexible environment designed to help neurodivergent individuals thrive. Upon completion, each graduate receives a certificate and leaves with tangible skills, professional insights, and the self-assurance to take the next step in their career journey.
Each of these programs represents a branch of the same growing tree rooted in belonging and nourished by opportunity. Together, they cultivate an environment where autistic professionals can develop careers that reflect both their talents and their worth.
