At Aspiritech, we believe in peer recognition and celebrating collaboration within our team and community. As a nonprofit dedicated to creating employment opportunities for autistic adults as tech service providers, we’ve seen firsthand how a supportive workplace culture can make a world of difference.
That’s one reason we love using HeyTaco, a peer recognition tool that lets team members show appreciation by sending each other virtual tacos via Slack emoji. Whether it’s for solving a tough tech challenge, helping a teammate, showing up with positivity, or just sharing a laugh, giving each other tacos is our everyday way of saying “thank you.”

Through May 27, 2025, HeyTaco is turning feedback into funding by donating $10 to Aspiritech for every G2 review left about their platform. It’s part of their quarterly review drive, an initiative that blends customer feedback with corporate social responsibility. This quarter, we’re honored to be their featured nonprofit partner.
Aspiritech employs more than 100 autistic adults across the U.S. in meaningful roles, with neurodivergence represented at every level of our organization. Our team members work in software testing, accessibility audits, data services, web development and design, creative services, HR, sales and marketing, and leadership. Every one of them brings invaluable insights and unique perspectives to every task.
HeyTaco has become a daily part of our internal culture. Team members earn and give tacos for achievements big and small, and they can redeem tacos for Amazon gift cards, and sometimes pool individual taco balances together to hold in-person celebrations, which so far have included an ice cream social and an actual taco party at our Evanston headquarters. It’s proven to be a simple, effective way to build community, even when we’re working remotely across the country.
