The Edit Items at Checkout workflow involved dynamic real-time calculations across quantities, discounts and item types. This combination made manual testing slow and error-prone. Every regression cycle demanded careful human attention to a workflow that was both high-stakes and high-friction to test manually.

Guided by ISTQB principles, Aspiritech prioritized the highest-risk test cases first, then built a full automation framework using Cypress and Faker.js. The solution covered the complete checkout workflow: adding dynamic items, editing quantities and discounts, validating totals and handling edge cases. Built on a Page Object Model with custom utilities, the framework is designed to scale as new item types and pricing rules are introduced, all without requiring new scripts or significant rework.
