Management Team:

Brenda Weitzberg, Executive Director:

Brenda has a BA in psychology and special education with a graduate diploma in administration. She has more than 35 years’ experience in social service administration, most recently as director of north shore operations for a Chicagoland nonprofit. Throughout the years, Brenda has successfully worked collaboratively to develop and implement innovative programs to meet urgent community needs including Camp STAR, an evidence-based summer treatment program for children with ADHD, ASD and related disorders. These experiences prepared her to embark on a journey in 2008 to find innovative employment solutions for higher functioning adults with autism.

Moshe Weitzberg, Ph.D., Director of Operations:

After serving as a lieutenant in the Israeli infantry, Moshe earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University. For more than 20 years, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry where he published more than 100 scientific papers and more than 10 patents. Since retiring from Abbott Laboratories, Moshe earned both a high school teaching certificate in chemistry and physics and was also certified in software testing at SigmaSoft. Moshe currently works as Aspiritech’s Director of Operations. In this role, he oversees Aspiritech’s team of Software Test Engineers and Test Lead.

Connie Gomez, Senior QA Manager:

Connie is a Quality advocate and visionary.  She is an influential thinker that builds strong relationships between business and engineering groups alike to align expectations and exceed organizational goals.  Connie has a BA in Workforce Education and Development with an emphasis in Adult Education.  Over the past 15 years, Connie has been managing large scale Software and Data Analysis project initiatives, ranging from ideation to delivery, all while ensuring High Quality Delivery in Finance, B2B, ECommerce and Data Science industries.  She is super passionate about people and motivating teams to deliver above and beyond what is expected.

Tory Peña, HR/Compliance Manager:

Tory earned an M.A. in Education from Stanford University. She coordinates the planning, implementation and tracking of specific projects to ensure that Aspiritech fulfills its mission of providing a path for individuals on the autism spectrum to realize their potential through gainful employment.  To that end, Tory works closely with other management team members, testing staff and clients to ensure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule and deliverables are timely and of the highest quality.

She has experience working in Special Education settings working with children with autism.  Previously, as an Autism Specialist at Aspiritech since April 2015, Tory provided training, job coaching and support to Aspiritech's team of Testers. In 2017, Tory became ISTQB certified. 

Brian Tozzo, Lead Tester:

Brian holds a degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University and has knowledge of multiple computer languages including Assembler, C, C++, COBOL, Java, Visual Basic.NET, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, JCL, SQL, OpenGL in C, General MIDI and office applications. Brian has been with Aspiritech since its startup and plays a critical role as Lead Tester on software testing projects under the supervision of the Director of Operations. In 2017, Brian became ISTQB certified. 

Robin Kacyn, Development Specialist:

Robin oversaw Aspiritech's Stepping Up and Out program (SU&O) from November 2015 to early 2017. In October 2016, she joined the team in a full-time capacity as Program Services Specialist. In her current role she provides our team of testers with a variety of services including job coaching, support and training, helps to screen and interview trainees, and responds to community requests for resource information.She also continues to oversee social programming.

Robin earned a BA in Theatre from Washington University in St.Louis and has additional training and experience in the culinary arts. She's worked extensively in both early childhood and adult education, most recently utilizing her eclectic background to guide her work building programs and providing staff support at Aspiritech.

Jake Klein, Technical Support Specialist & Job Coach:

Jake joined the Aspiritech management team in March 2017 as a full-time Technical Support Specialist and Job Coach. In addition to monitoring project statuses, he provides our team of analysts with a variety of services including individual performance analysis, job coaching, training, helps resolve technical issues that arise during projects, and also assists in the applicant screening process.

Prior to working at Aspiritech, Jake served as a Senior Advisor at Apple. He assisted customers and Apple Store staff with Mac and iOS technical questions, accessibility guidance, and Beats by Dre support. Jake graduated from the University of Illinois in 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Advertising.
